The Mount St. Helens Interpretive Center captures the 1980 eruption of Mount St. Helens in southwestern Washington state, which killed 57 people and spewed over 540 million tons of ash. It is considered to be the deadliest and most destructive volcanic eruption in modern US history and has immense significance to the customs and culture of indigenous communities, including the Cowlitz Tribe, throughout the region.

CREO collaborated closely with the Parks team on a new exhibit that reflects current science and provides a broader story about the mountain’s long history of eruptions. Our support of the project included project management, design support, detailing and engineering, exhibit fabrication, scenic production, graphics production, interactive development, media integration, artifact mounting, site preparation and installation.
